Download Kelk 2010, the Ultimate Arabic, Persian and Urdu Calligraphy Software for Windows

So far, only experts like Hâfiz Osman, Hüseyin Kutlu and Fuat Başar can create beautifully written Arabic calligraphy. You have to be an expert calligrapher (also called khaṭṭaṭ) if you want to be able to create  awesome calligraphy. When creating a calligraphic art, you may use a particular calligraphic style, which can be cursive, such as Naskh or Thuluth, or geometric, such as Kufi.
You may have ever heard those style names when you are looking for Arabic fonts for your computer. Well, there are indeed Naskh and Thuluth fonts, among others, that you can download to your computer. However, because fonts have limitation, They often appear weird and unattractive if you use them to write. Let alone to create calligraphy.
There are indeed some fonts that, to certain extent, can overcome such limitation. Nastaliq, which is used by such popular websites as Wikipedia to display Persian and Urdu pages, is an example of font that seems to have successfully overcome such limitation. However, there are not many fonts like Nastaliq out there. So in a nutshell, there is hardly an effective way to create beautiful Arabic calligraphy by using computer.
Kelk fills this small gap. As a versatile application to create Arabic calligraphy, Kelk has become a masterpiece that is currently matchless. By using this application, you can create beautiful calligraphy with such calligraphic styles as Naskh and Tuluth with no trouble. Even if you don't have any skill in Arabic handwriting, you can always create beautiful calligraphy that can be matched with one created by experts. The first version of Kelk that I use is Kelk 2000. Although it is very powerful in creating Arabic calligraphy, the number of styles that it offers is very limited. By using this program, you can create Arabic calligraphy with Naskh, Thuluth, Nastaliq, Shekasteh, and Tahriri styles only.
